Rainer Rubbert

Rainer Rubbert (* 1957 in Erlangen ) is a German composer .

Life

1975–81 Rubbert studied composition with Witold Szalonek at the Berlin University of the Arts . In 1989, together with Martin Daske (* 1962), he founded the concert series Unheard Music in the Berliner Kabarett Anstalt .

Rainer Rubbert lives as a freelance composer in Berlin; 2001–03 he was a member of the Council for the Arts .

  • 1985 laureate at the forum of young German composers for orchestral music
  • 1986/87 scholarship stay at the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris

  • 2007 Carl von Ossietzky Composition Prize of the Choir of the University of Oldenburg (for the cantata Aus der Fremde )
