Rainer Spechtl

Life

Spechtl completed a psychology degree after graduating from high school . From 1976 he began an acting training at the drama school Krauss . As part of this training, he also completed a vocal training. This was followed by numerous theater productions in Europe. Rainer Spechtl worked at the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Mörbisch Seefestspiele and the Bregenz Festival , among others . Rainer Spechtl has been a lecturer in acting and improvisation at the Vienna Conservatory since 2002 . At this he also leads an acting class.

Even during his school days, Rainer Spechtl was active as a singer in various blues and jazz groups . These groups also included artists such as Karl Ratzer , Peter Wolf and Christian Kolonovits . Privately he was tutored by the American singer Victoria Williams . In addition to his activities as an actor and teacher, he and his brother Claus Spechtl also appear as the duo Spechtl & Spechtl . The two brothers worked together on the blues programs Wiener Blues and Blaulichtviertel . In 2003 a CD was produced with the jazz pianist Heinz "Birdy" Vogl and then played several concerts with him.
