Raphael Holzhauser (born February 16, 1993 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian football player on the position of midfielder .

Career

In 2009 Holzhauser moved from the youth of SK Rapid Vienna abroad to the youth training center of VfB Stuttgart . At the Mercedes-Benz Junior Cup 2010 he was named the best player of the tournament.

On July 31, 2010 Holzhauser made his professional debut for the second team of VfB Stuttgart in the third professional league against 1. FC Heidenheim on the second match day of the 2010/11 season . On 18 February 2011 he signed two days after obtaining its capacity a dated by the end of June 2015 professional contract with VfB Stuttgart.

On January 21, 2012, Holzhauser made his Bundesliga debut for VfB Stuttgart against FC Schalke 04 . He played his first international competitive game at club level in the Europa League on matchday two of the 2012/13 group stage against Molde FK on October 4, 2012.

On 1 July 2013 Holzhauser from VfB Stuttgart until the end of was the 2013/14 season at FC Augsburg awarded.

In January 2015, FK Austria Wien signed Holzhauser. Holzhauser signed a contract with the Viennese that expired on June 30, 2018,

For the 2018/19 season he moved to Switzerland to Grasshopper Club Zurich , where he received a contract that ran until June 2020. In April 2019, his contract with the Swiss was terminated. For the 2019/20 season he moved to Belgium for second division club K Beerschot VA , where he received a contract that ran until June 2021.
