The Raseggbach is a brook in the municipality of Kals am Großglockner ( Lienz district ). The brook rises east of the Kals-Matreier-Törl-Haus ( Granatspitzgruppe ) and flows north between Ködnitz and Lana into the Kalserbach . The field name Raseggbach is derived either from the Romanic “rivus siccus” ( Dürrenbach ) or from the Slavic “raz-sěk” ( single cut = clearing).

course

The Raseggbach is fed by several source streams that arise between the Gornalm in the south, the Kals-Matreier-Törl-Haus in the west and the Ganotzegg in the north. After the union of these source streams, the Raseggbach flows eastwards, passes the Tembler farm ( Großdorf ) to the south and flows into the Kalserbach on the right between Ködnitz in the north and Lana in the south or the opposite Lesach.
