Rasmus Videbæk

Rasmus Videbæk (born February 21, 1973 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish cameraman .

Life

Rasmus Videbæk attended Nørre Gymnasium in Copenhagen. He then visited the European Film College in Ebeltoft with the idea of ​​becoming a director , before successfully completing his studies at Den Danske Filmskole in 1999 . Before he made his debut as a cameraman for a feature film with Alt, neu, borrowed & blue and Nói Albínói in 2003 , he only made short films.

Since then he has established himself as a cameraman. His work has been nominated and awarded for several national and international film awards, including the Norwegian Amanda , the Danish Robert and the Icelandic Edda . For his camera work on the drama Stealing Horses, staged by Hans Petter Moland , he was awarded the Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Achievement at the Berlinale 2019 .

Videbæk has had a longstanding collaboration with the Danish director Nikolaj Arcel in particular . So he was the cameraman for his directorial work on Island of Lost Souls , The Truth About Men and also his Hollywood- produced The Dark Tower .
