The Rauma is a steep wild river in the Norwegian provinces of Innlandet and Møre og Romsdal . It flows through the scenic high valley ( Romsdal ) and later flows into the Romsdalsfjord near Åndalsnes . Quiet, lake-like routes alternate with heavily blocked slopes.

The Rauma is one of the great salmon rivers in Norway. At the same time, it is one of the most difficult white water kayaking waters in the country.
