Shortly after the death of the heroic Captain Norad: A course in history takes place at the Space Academy. A professor ( Niels Clausnitzer ) gives a lecture on the so-called Gordian Wars, which were decisively influenced by the intervention of Captain Robert T. Norad of the USS Highlander. Then a student reports: his grandfather was Admiral Donovan, under whose command the Highlanders were at the time. And he told the story a little differently. And so we experience the cyborg attack on earth from two perspectives: that of the history teacher with the disguised transfiguration of Norad as a hero - and the whole relentless truth as told by the retired Donovan.

In fact, Norad's stupid behavior prevented any other solution to the crisis and thereby brought Earth to the brink of disaster, by the cyborgs using their solar weapon after a successful test with 17 billion deaths in the MZ-4 system (and a completely unsuccessful field mission by Captain Norad, after whom he was initially declared dead - we experience the desperation of Donovan, who in the middle of his eagerly awaited funeral speech has to recognize the bitter truth) now point at the earthly sun. The Highlander rushes to help the earth defense, but again it is not Norad's deliberate action, but just a coincidence that decides the story: After being kidnapped on the cyborg ship, he infects everyone there with his cold, so that the attackers are annoyed Searching for the distance, not without first - much to the chagrin of the rest of the crew - beaming Norad back again.
