Raymond DiLauro (born July 13, 1979 in Bensalem , Pennsylvania ) is a former Italian - American ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Trenton Titans in the ECHL .
Career
He began his youth career at the age of 19 at St. Lawrence University , with which he won the ECAC Hockey Championship in 2000 and 2001 . After his last college season in 2001/02 he signed a so-called amateur try-out contract and completed the last games of the season with the Reading Royals in the East Coast Hockey League . From there it went to the Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League .
About the stations Binghamton Senators , Manchester Monarchs , Columbus Cottonmouths , Wheeling Nailers and Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins , DiLauro, who was voted the best defender of the ECHL in the season 2004/05 , switched to the Cleveland Barons , the farm team of the San Jose Sharks . There he was on the ice in 49 games last year. His score of five goals and 24 points was the third best of a defender in the Barons team and he also played five games in the dress of the ECHL club Fresno Falcons .
The defender was drafted in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers in the ninth round in 246th place. For the 2006/07 season he signed a contract with the Krefeld Penguins from the German Ice Hockey League . After a year with the Rhinelander, he moved within the league to the Füchsen Duisburg, where he also signed a contract for a year.
This was followed by engagements with EHC Black Wings Linz and HC Bozen before DiLauro returned to the United States in September 2010. For the 2010/11 season he signed a contract with the Missouri Mavericks from the Central Hockey League . After a year he switched to Nippon Paper Cranes from the Asia League Ice Hockey for the 2011/12 season . In December 2011 the defender was signed by the Trenton Titans from the ECHL.
