Raymond Roy (Bishop)
Raymond Roy (born May 3, 1919 in Fisher-Branch , Manitoba , † June 25, 2003 ) was a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Saint Paul in Alberta .
Life
Raymond Roy received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Saint-Boniface on May 31, 1947 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on May 3, 1972 Bishop of Saint Paul, Alberta . The Archbishop of Saint-Boniface, Maurice Baudoux , ordained him episcopal on July 18 of the same year; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Edmonton , Anthony Jordan OMI , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Sherbrooke , Georges Cabana .
On June 30, 1997, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
