Raymund Schmitt

Raymund Schmitt (born January 25, 1930 in Marktheidenfeld ; † April 23, 2001 in Marktheidenfeld ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( CSU ). From 1994 to 2001 he was president of the district assembly of Lower Franconia .

Life

After leaving school, Schmitt began his professional life in the public service. Schmitt was a graduate in administration , a senior administrative officer and head of the district audit office. In 1966 he was elected to the town council of Marktheidenfeld, to which he belonged with interruptions until 2001. From 1974 until his death he was a member of the district assembly of Lower Franconia. The CSU member was Deputy District Assembly President from 1982 to 1994 and District Assembly President of Lower Franconia from 1994 to 2001 . During his tenure as President he made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Unterfränkische Kulturstiftung.

Schmitt held the following functions:

  • Deputy board member of the Bavarian GUVV (Bavarian Community Accident Insurance Association) since January 1996
  • Member of the supervisory board of Überlandwerk Unterfranken AG
  • Member of the regional advisory board of Bayernwerk AG
  • Member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for the Blind Foundation
  • Member of the BRK district committee for Lower Franconia
  • District President of the Bavarian State Sports Association
