Rebecca Pidgeon
Rebecca Pidgeon (born October 10, 1965 in Cambridge , Massachusetts ) is an American - British actress , singer and songwriter .
life and career
Pidgeon, daughter of a Scottish professor , grew up in Scotland. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and was a member of the British music group Ruby Blue in the 1980s . She later moved to the United States.
Pidgeon debuted in Mamet's Broadway - play Old Neighborhood . She starred in The Stranger on the Beach (1988) opposite Anthony Hopkins , in The Invisible Trap (1997) opposite Campbell Scott and Steve Martin and in the movie Heist (2001) opposite Gene Hackman and Danny DeVito . In 1994 she released her solo music album The Raven , later New York Girls' Club and in 1998 The Four Marys . In October 2005 her album Tough on Crime was released , on which Billy Preston plays the keyboard .
Pidgeon has been married to David Mamet since 1991 and has two children.
