The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2007 was the first in the history of the FIM - Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup .

Eight races were held.

Distribution of points

The champion was the driver who had accumulated the most points in the championship by the end of the season. When allocating points, the placements in the overall result of the respective race were taken into account. The top fifteen drivers in each race received points according to the following scheme:

The penultimate race of the season should actually take place on the Hungaroring in Hungary . Due to organizational problems, the event was moved to the Circuito do Estoril in Portugal .
