Reginald Everard Vibart Thompson-Lambe or Reggie Lambe for short (born February 4, 1991 in Hamilton ) is a Bermuda football player who has played for the English club Cambridge United since 2018 .
Career
society
Reggie Lambe started his football career in 2007 in the youth of Ipswich Town . On August 11, 2009, he completed his first game for the professional team from Ipswich in the League Cup against Shrewsbury Town . However, it wasn't until a year later that he made his league debut in a 3-1 away win at Middlesbrough FC at Riverside Stadium when he came on for Carlos Edwards in the 64th minute . His second and last league appearance followed on September 28, 2010 against Reading FC . On March 24, 2011 he was loaned to the Bristol Rovers , which were playing in Football League One at the time, until the end of the season . By the end of the season Lambe had seven league games for Bristol.
On December 7, 2011, he signed a contract with the Canadian club Toronto FC , which plays in Major League Soccer . His first two goals came in the 3-2 home defeat against Chicago Fire . Lambe helped his team to win the title with his two goals in the 2012 Canadian Championship and shared the title of top scorer with Ryan Johnson (also Toronto FC), as well as Éric Hassli and Sébastien Le Toux (both Vancouver Whitecaps ). He was also twice as successful in the 5-1 victory in the CONCACAF Champions League 2012/13 against the Salvadoran club CD Águila .
National team
Lambe made his debut in December 2007 as a 16-year-old against St. Kitts and Nevis in the Bermuda senior team. On August 30, 2008, he scored four goals in a 7-0 victory over Saint-Martin as part of qualifying for the 2008 Caribbean Football Championship . So far, he has completed 32 international matches for his home country.
