Regina Möller

Regina Möller ( Regina Maria Möller ; * 1962 in Munich , Germany ) is an artist, publisher of the magazine regina and founder of the art label embodiment. She lives in Berlin .

Life

Möller received her MA in 1988 from the Philosophical Faculties at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. She then lived and worked in New York until 1994 . Since 2003 she has been teaching as a professor and visiting professor at international universities, such as the Kungliga Konsthögskolan Stockholm (KKH), Sweden, the Visual Arts Program (VAP) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge , USA, and the Art Academy in Trondheim (KiT) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology ( NTNU ) in Trondheim , Norway; School of Art, Design, Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore

Works

Möller received international attention in 1994 with her work "regina". A work of art in magazine format. It appears in a limited edition and at irregular intervals. In the same year - 1994 - Regina Möller started the label “embodiment”. Under this label she designs clothes, wallpapers, furniture - interior fittings, the materials of which she charges with new or unfamiliar meanings. With art as her medium, Regina Möller examines the area between body and environment, art and everyday life, as well as art and design.

Möller's artistic works move outside of clear categorizations; she works with a wide variety of media, such as installation, print medium, photography, audio / video, comics, costume design, sculpture, design and art in public spaces.
