Cacheu is an administrative region in northwestern Guinea-Bissau . It borders in the north on Senegal or the Casamance , in the west on the Atlantic , in the south on the Biombo region and in the east on Oio . Their capital is Cacheu .
According to official estimates, the region had around 165,000 inhabitants in 2004.
