Rehabilitation Kemal Erginer (born April 1, 1970 in Manisa ) is a former Turkish soccer player and today's soccer coach .

Player career

Erginer was born in Manisa in 1970 and started playing club football here in the youth of Manisaspor . In the eighties he was accepted into the professional team and worked for them until the end of the 1990/91 season.

He then moved to Göztepe Izmir . After a year at Göztepe, he played for about ten seasons with various clubs in the Aegean region in the lower Turkish leagues and ended his active career in the summer of 2001.

Coaching career

After his active career, he decided to become a football coach. He first worked as assistant coach at Reha Kapsal from summer 2002 and accompanied him at Kayserispor , Ankaraspor and MKE Ankaragücü . After Kapsal von Ankaragücü left, Erginer worked here as an assistant trainer until 2010.

For the 2010/11 season, Kapsal brought him to his new place of work at Manisaspor . After Kapsal's dismissal, Erginer also left the club.

On March 1, 2012 he was introduced as the new head coach of Manisaspor and replaced the resigned Ümit Özat . He took over the club in the relegation ranks and could not save him from relegation at the end of the season. Relegated to the TFF 1st Lig , he continued to coach the team and reached the autumn championship of the season with this . In the second half of the season he and his team lost contact with the top of the table, but still managed to participate in the playoff phase on the last day of the season. In the playoffs they reached the final, lost to Konyaspor 1: 2 and missed the direct return to the Süper Lig in the last instance. After the end of the season, the club extended the contract with Erginer. One month after this contract extension, both sides terminated the contract. The reason given was the coach's unfulfilled transfer requirements.

In the summer of 2014 he was introduced as the new head coach of the second division side Boluspor and coached the club for the 2015/16 season. In March 2016, he replaced the dismissed Fikret Yılmaz as head coach at the second division Balıkesirspor . He himself left the club at the end of September 2016.

On September 28, 2017 Erginer took over the Aegean club Denizlispor . Due to unsuccessfulness, the contract was terminated prematurely on February 6, 2018 by mutual agreement.
