Rehmate is a residential area in the Zehlendorf district of the city of Oranienburg in the Oberhavel district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is just under three kilometers northeast of Zehlendorf and as the easternmost settlement in the city, almost 13 kilometers from the center. The small village is located in Barnim Nature Park , is the bird sanctuary surrounded Upper Havelniederung, bordered to the north by the protected landscape Upper Havelniederung.

history

1817 the place belonged to the Office Friedrichsthal the circle Niederbarnim in the administrative district of Potsdam in the Prussian province of Brandenburg . At that time, a forester's house and three Protestant residents who were parish in Zehlendorf were recorded here. With the dissolution of the Friedrichsthal office, the place came to the Liebenwalde office in 1819 .
