Pure Preul

Reiner Preul (born August 19, 1940 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

Reiner Preul studied Protestant theology in Heidelberg and Göttingen . He completed his vicariate in the V. Bodelschwinghsche Anstalten Bethel before he went to Göttingen for further studies, where he received his doctorate in 1969 . He then worked as a research assistant to the pedagogue Karl Ernst Nipkow in Tübingen . From 1975 to 1986 he held the chair for practical theology in Marburg . After his habilitation in 1986 he became professor for practical theology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . His main research interests are in the areas of church theory and religious education . Between 1993 and 1996 he was chairman of the practical theology section of the Scientific Society for Theology. Preul is a member of the International Academy of Practical Theology and the Theological Working Group in Pfullingen . After his retirement in 2005, Preul was a university preacher in Kiel and co-editor of the Marburg yearbook theology until 2010 .
