Reiner Stockhausen

Reiner Stockhausen (born March 7, 1962 in Aachen ) is a German game designer who was best known for his game Orléans , published in 2015 . This game was nominated for Kennerspiel des Jahres and came second in the selection for the German Game Award . He is also the founder and managing director of the games publisher dlp games in Herzogenrath .

biography

Reiner Stockhausen began developing games in the late 1990s. His first published game Freibeuter was published by Hans im Glück Verlag in 1998 and was voted 10th at the German Game Prize. In 1999 the card game Dolce Vita and in 2002 The Seven Orphans were published by Ravensburger .

From 2007 to 2009 Stockhausen was 2nd chairman of the game authors' guild e. V. (SAZ). He is the founder and managing director of the game publisher dlp games in Herzogenrath , which has been publishing his and other games since 2009. A few more games were released until 2014, when Stockhausen published Orléans, its most successful game to date at dlp games. The game has won several prizes, including being nominated for Kennerspiel des Jahres and came second in the German Game Award . The successors were the Bohemian Villages game in 2016 and Altiplano in 2017 ; the latter reached 10th place in the 2018 German Game Award.
