Reinhard Meyer zu Bentrup
Reinhard Meyer zu Bentrup (born May 22, 1939 in Gadderbaum ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1976 to 1994 he was a member of the German Bundestag .
Life
Meyer zu Bentrup was born the son of a farmer in Gadderbaum near Bielefeld . After graduating from a high school in Bielefeld in 1960, he completed an agricultural apprenticeship, which he completed in 1962 with the assistant test. He then took up a degree in agriculture at the universities in Bonn and Berlin , which he completed in 1967 with an examination as a qualified farmer. In 1970 he was awarded the dissertation topic status and development of specialized farms on agricultural sites for Doctor of Agricultural Sciences PhD . From 1969 he managed the Meyer zu Bentrup farm in Brönninghausen, which was first mentioned in a document at the beginning of the 14th century . In 1973 he became a district farmer.
Meyer zu Bentrup was from 1970 chairman of the agricultural committee of the CDU Bielefeld, from 1975 to 1986 chairman of the state agricultural committee of the CDU Westphalia-Lippe and from 1976 member of the CDU federal technical committee for agricultural policy. At times he was in front of the CDU district association Bielefeld. In local politics he was a member of the local council in Brönninghausen from 1969 to 1972 , from 1970 to 1972 a member of the Bielefeld district council and from 1973 to 1979 a member of the Bielefeld City Council.
In the federal election in 1976 Meyer zu Bentrup was elected to the German Bundestag for the first time , to which he was a member until 1994. He always entered parliament via the CDU state list in North Rhine-Westphalia, except in the 1983 federal election when he won the direct mandate in constituency 102 (Bielefeld) . In all six terms he was a member of the Finance Committee .
Memberships and engagements
Meyer zu Bentrup, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Bielefeld from 1974 to 1989 . He is one of the founding members of the board of directors of the Evangelical Johanneswerk in Bielefeld; he was a member of the Board of Directors until 2009. In addition, he is on the board of the Christian Missionswerk eV
