Reinhardshausen is a district of the city of Bad Wildungen in the north Hessian district of Waldeck-Frankenberg .

Geographical location

Reinhardshausen is located in northern Hesse, surrounded by forest . The spa is located on the edge of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park .

history

Reinhardshausen was first mentioned in writing in 1209. At that time the place name was Reinhereshusen . In 1927 the place belonged to the Bad Wildungen district court and the Corbach tax office. In 1933 Reinhardshausen had 924 inhabitants.

The development of the spa began in 1894 when the Reinhard spring was discovered and opened up. The fountain temple, the foyer and finally the spa gardens were built. The first spa concert dates from 1899. A bathhouse was added later.

On May 1, 1940, the place was incorporated into the city of Bad Wildungen.
