Reinhold Dellmann

Reinhold Dellmann (born September 11, 1958 in Magdeborn , Leipzig-Land district ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2006 to 2009 he was Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Planning in Brandenburg and from 1991 to 2004 and 2009 to 2011 a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament .

Dellmann received training as a skilled worker for operations and traffic services at the Deutsche Reichsbahn from 1975 to 1977 and studied part-time from 1981 to 1986 to work as a dispatcher traffic technology at the Dresden University of Transport . From 1988 to 1990 he was a research assistant at the Central Research Institute of Transport (ZFIV) Berlin and the Scientific and Technical Center (WTZ) of the Deutsche Reichsbahn.

Dellmann lives in Wandlitz north of Berlin.

After the fall of the Wall in the GDR and German reunification, Dellmann joined the SPD in 1990 and switched to politics, initially at the communal and later at the state level. From 1990 to 1993 Dellmann was mayor of the Brandenburg municipality of Wandlitz , and from 1993 to 1999 he was the official director of the Wandlitz office. He was from 1990–1992 and 2003–2004, and since 2008 he has also been a member of the Wandlitz community council . From 1990 to 1992 Dellmann was a member of the Bernau district council and from 2003 to 2004 a member of the Barnim district council .

In 1999 he switched to state politics and was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament until 2004, of which he was a member again from 2009 to August 2011. From 1999 to 2004 Dellmann was a member of the committees for agriculture, environmental protection and regional planning as well as for urban development, housing and transport. From December 2009 to August 2011 he was chairman of the parliamentary committee for economy and a member of the committee for science, research and culture. In this position, he also campaigned for the preservation of the primary school location in the Wandlitz district and for the improvement of regional traffic.

On October 13, 2004, he was appointed State Secretary of the Brandenburg Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning (MIR). From December 13, 2006 to October 27, 2009 he was Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Planning as the successor to his party colleague Frank Szymanski , who took up the post of Lord Mayor of Cottbus .

Dellmann has its own biographical reference to the subject of spatial planning: His birthplace Magdeborn (now the municipality of Großpösna ), south of Leipzig, was completely relocated from 1977 to 1980 and then dredged to expand the Espenhain open-cast lignite mine . After its closure, the Störmthaler See was created there . Dealing with the consequences of lignite mining is also an important spatial planning issue in Brandenburg.

On September 1, 2011, he took up the position of General Manager of the Berlin and Brandenburg Construction Association.
