It is one of the few buildings on this side of the street that remained unscathed during the air raid on Ronsdorf . The original building of the Catholic parish church of St. Joseph to the north was badly damaged and later had to be demolished due to dilapidation and replaced by a modern new building. The formerly practically adjacent restaurant Rheinischer Hof is no longer there. About 100 meters further south than monuments nor the house Remscheider Straße 46 and the former Prussian Bandwirkerschule and in the dam road of Steiger tower Ronsdorf received. On the opposite side of the street, the historical buildings still stand today, including the listed buildings Remscheider Straße 33 (restaurant Zum Bergisches Haus ) and the residential and commercial buildings Remscheider Straße 35 , 43 , 45 and 47 . The former historic residential building at Remscheider Strasse 41 , built in a slab of timber frame construction , became dilapidated due to long-term renovation jams and could no longer be preserved. It was therefore deleted from the list of monuments, completely demolished in the following years and replaced by a new building.

Neither the slate cladding nor the asymmetrically arranged windows facing the street with their frames have noteworthy decorative elements. At the rear, where the entrance to the house is located, there is a right-angled and slate extension.
