Remscheider Strasse 95
The house at Remscheider Straße 95 is a monument in the Bergisch city of Wuppertal in North Rhine-Westphalia .
Location and history
The building is in the district and district Ronsdorf ( residential district Schenkstraße ) in the local situation hut at the Remscheid Street , the main road that from the center of Ronsdorf to the south along the Leyerbachs over Clarenbachstift direction Remscheid leads. Other neighboring monuments include the directly attached house at Remscheider Straße 93 in the north . The house at Remscheider Strasse 97 , which was built practically at the same time in the 19th century, is attached at a slight angle to the immediate south; As an (almost) mirror-symmetrical semi-detached house, both buildings form an optical and historical unit. The houses at Remscheider Strasse 101 and 103 (both located to the south) and to the north along the street, the buildings at Remscheider Strasse 64 , 64a , 66 , 68 and 69 are also listed today.
Description and current use
The house was built in half-timbered construction on a stone basement , which is accessible from the courtyard side due to the hillside location , and is completely slated . It has three full floors and a loft . This has an eaves saddle roof with a front and a rear dormer and several roof windows . The front facade has the entrance door and three windows on the ground floor. There are four window axes each on the first and second floors . The annex over two floors, facing the back of the courtyard, houses parts of the stairwell and the formerly common toilets on half the floor .
The house is privately owned and is still used for residential purposes today.
Monument protection
The entire building was entered on November 5, 1984 under the number 177 in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal.
