The Resolution 870 of the UN Security Council is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council unanimously decided at its 3285th meeting on 1 October 1,993th It reaffirmed Resolution 743 and subsequent resolutions on the United Nations Protection Force and extended the mandate of UNPROFOR under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter by an additional period until October 5, 1993.

The Council reaffirmed its determination to ensure the security of UNPROFOR and its free movement for all of its missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia .
