The Resolution 891 of the UN Security Council is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council unanimously decided at its 3324th meeting on 20 December 1993rd After reaffirming resolutions 812 (1993), 846 (1993) and 872 (1993) on the situation in Rwanda , the Council found that the presence of units from the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda (UNOMUR) contributed to and prolonged stability the mandate for a further six months.
The Council noted that the integration of the UNOMUR and the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) is purely administrative as it would in no way affect the mandate of the UNOMUR. The cooperation of the Government of Uganda was welcomed and all civil and military authorities in the mandate area were invited to cooperate with the mission.
