The Resolution 805 of the UN Security Council is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council unanimously decided at its 3170th meeting on 4 February 1,993th It dealt with the procedure for the election of a new judge at the International Court of Justice after the death of Judge Manfred Lachs on January 14, 1993. The Council decided that the election for a vacant post at the ICJ on May 10, 1993 in the Security Council and at the 47th session the UN General Assembly should take place.

Manfred Lachs had been a judge at the International Court of Justice since 1967, and from 1973 to 1976 also its presiding judge. His term of office was due to expire in February 1994.
