Richard Bayha (born March 15, 1929 in Altenhaßlau ; † November 3, 1993 in Bonn ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Richard Bayha first graduated from commercial school, then from agricultural school in Stuttgart . As a self-employed farmer, he then settled in Altenhaßlau. He headed the Gelnhausen district farmers ' association from 1958 to 1980, and between 1962 and 1974 he worked as a district farmer . At times he was also President of the German Society for Agricultural and Environmental Policy.

politics

Bayha, who joined the CDU in 1954, was from 1972 chairman of the agricultural policy committee of the Hessian state association . From 1987 until his death he was chairman of the federal agricultural policy committee of the federal party.

Bayha was a community representative in Altenhaßlau from 1956 to 1968. From 1964 to 1974 he was a member of the Gelnhausen district council. From 1970 to 1976 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament , where he was chairman of the committee for agriculture and forestry from 1974 to 1976. In 1976 he entered the Bundestag for the first time via the state list of Hesse , and later as a direct candidate for the Hanau constituency . He was a member of parliament until his death.
