Richard Geppert (born July 23, 1963 in Lörrach ) is a German musical composer, conductor , singing teacher and keyboard player.

In 1980 he composed the music theater Der kleine Mensch with Hans-Jürgen Hufeisen and in 1985 the rock oratorio Moses with Tobias Seyb . Between 1984 and 1989 Geppert studied school music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim .

In 1986 he commissioned the oratorio Die Erde for large orchestra, choir, soloists, band together with Tobias Seyb and Klaus-Dieter Kienzle (text by Birgit Kley ). In 1987 the Nachtlichterloh trade fair followed for soloists, choirs and bands.

Geppert became the conductor of the Nussloch Chamber Orchestra in 1987 and has been working in the studio as a keyboardist and producer since 1988. In 1989 he started his first record production with gospel and pop music and since that year has also been a guest conductor with the Mannheim University Orchestra.

Between 1989 and 1992 Geppert took up a degree as a conductor at the Hochschule für Musik Mannheim with Braschkat and Kegelmann. Between 1993 and 1994 the composition and production of the musical Human Pacific followed and in 1998 Not of this World . The album Not from this world by Xavier Naidoo was in the German charts for over a year, including number 1 for several weeks. In 1998 Geppert composed and produced his second musical People . Xavier Naidoo, Karl Frierson ( De-Phazz ), Darius Merstein , Anna Krämer, Smaida Platais and many others played the leading roles . In 2001 the composition and production of the third musical Wild Sensation followed as a commissioned composition for the WILD -Werke. The TV song Feel the sun was also created for Wild-Werke as an advertisement for Capri-Sonne . Family Affairs , Musical No. 4, is previously unreleased. Since then, Geppert has composed and produced various songs for numerous national pop stars. In 2000 Geppert founded the choir The Fine Artists , which he led as conductor and arranger until 2007.

His sixth musical Max More than a Lifetime premiered on September 29, 2007 in the Hockenheimer Stadthalle. Geppert has been working as a voice coach for pop stars such as B. Markus Grimm, Sebastian Hämer, Peppa Singt (glass house) and Amir Amjee Azar.

In 2008, Geppert moved his sphere of activity from Mannheim to Lörrach ( Schallbach ). In 2009 he published his musical highlights in the album best of my musicals . Since October 2009 Richard Geppert has been artistic director of the Voicelab singing academy together with Frank Schultz . With "Voicelab" the productions "Streben nach Glück" (2011) and "This could be heaven" (2013) were created. Since May 2009 he has been the conductor of the Vindonissa Singers (CH).
