Richard R. Hoover

Richard R. Hoover (born circa 1957) is an Oscar- winning film technician who specializes in visual effects .

Life

Hoover was nominated for a Satellite Award and an Academy Award for the film Armageddon: The Last Judgment . This was followed by films such as Unbreakable , Seabiscuit, and Superman Returns , which earned him an Oscar nomination with colleagues Mark Stetson , Neil Corbould and Jon Thumern . The last movie he animated the visual effects for was the 2011 3D movie The Smurfs .
