Richard Richter (politician)

Richard Richter was a German politician ( DBD ). He was state chairman of the DBD in Saxony-Anhalt and state minister.

Life

Richter, son of a working-class family, was employed as a farm worker for large farmers, in industry and in the circus. He joined the SPD in 1945 and the SED in 1946 . He was also a member of the VdgB and active in youth work. In the course of the land reform in 1945 he was given a new farmer's position. In 1948 he was co-founder of the DBD in Saxony-Anhalt and from June 1948 to 1951 its first state chairman.

Even if he did not run in the state elections in the province of Saxony in 1946 , he became a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt on October 28, 1949 . In the state elections in 1950 , which were carried out as sham elections , he received another mandate in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt until the dissolution of the states in the GDR in 1952.

From 1949 to July 1952 he was a member of the People's Council and the People's Chamber . From November 1950 to June 1951 he was minister without portfolio in the Bruschke government of the state of Saxony-Anhalt and was mainly involved in the control of the land reform construction program.

After leaving the government, he worked in various LPGs and was from March 10, 1952 an unofficial employee "Siegfried" of the MfS . In 1956 the MfS suspected him of dishonesty and he resigned as an IM.
