Richard Toborg

Richard Toborg (born July 28, 1927 in Hamelwördenermoor , Wischhafen municipality ; † December 5, 2014 ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After the one -class elementary school Richard Toborg attended middle school in Freiburg / Elbe . He later attended the Hadamar educational institute for teachers and a military training camp , and he did Reich labor service until the end of the Second World War . After the end of the war, he attended the Glückstadt high school, where he graduated from high school in 1947. In the following year he took over his parents' farm and the associated restaurant and ran it independently.

He joined the CDU in 1963. For many years he was a member of the board of the CDU district association Elbe-Weser.

From 1961 to 1991 Richard Toborg was a member of the local council and mayor of Wischhafen; then he was appointed honorary mayor . After the regional and administrative reforms in Lower Saxony, he was also a member of the joint municipal council and deputy mayor of the joint municipality of Nordkehdingen from 1971 to 1996 . In the district of Stade he worked from 1964 to 1993 as a member of the district council and from 1976 to 1989 as an honorary district administrator .

From June 21, 1982 to June 20, 1990 (10th and 11th electoral terms) he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the constituency of Stade , where he was a member of the committee for environmental issues.

Toborg was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in April 1988 with the Cross of Merit on Ribbon . He was also awarded the Golden Badge of Honor by the Lower Saxony-Bremen Choir Association . In 1985, the Stade District Craftsmen's Association awarded him the Professor Piest Medal for Toborg's services to local craftsmanship.

He was married and had one child.
