Richmar Simon Sabino Siberie [ sibəʁi ] (born March 24, 1982 in Willemstad , Curaçao , Netherlands Antilles ), called Rocky Siberie , is a Dutch football player .

Career

The attacker began his sports career in baseball and also played in the national baseball team of the Netherlands Antilles. At the same time he also played football for CRKSV Jong Colombia . After considering moving to the US as a professional baseball player , Siberie decided to play football, moved to the Netherlands and signed a contract with SC Heerenveen . However, Siberie never made it into the professional squad there. After an unsuccessful trial training at US Lecce , he moved to the Dutch second division club Cambuur Leeuwarden in 2003 .

In 2004 Siberie came to Germany and after an unsuccessful trial training at KFC Uerdingen 05, switched to FC St. Pauli . There he was never able to prevail and was eventually sorted out by coach Andreas Bergmann . The striker then went to Slovenia for NK Maribor in the summer . During the winter break of the 2005/06 season, his advisor Tom Sanders initially offered the player to the regional division Rot-Weiss Essen . When the club refused, "Rocky" completed a trial training at Wuppertaler SV Borussia . After five goals in five friendly matches, the Wupper decided to sign Siberie. In the clash between the Wuppertal and his ex-team, FC St. Pauli, he promptly scored a goal as a substitute.

Since the winter break in 2006/07, Siberie has also been left out in Wuppertal. However, a change to 1. FC Dynamo Dresden did not materialize. Siberie then left Germany and moved to Malta for Valletta FC in the Maltese Premier League . After only half a season, however, he returned to Germany. Since August 2007 he played for SV Straelen before moving to FC Dordrecht in the Netherlands in 2008 . He then worked for USV Hercules in Utrecht, and in 2010 he switched to the Italian club Pro Settimo & Eureka .

National team

In 2004 Siberie played for the national soccer team of the Netherlands Antilles ; after the dissolution of the Antilles state, he was also appointed to the successor team of Curaçao .
