Ricky Petrucciani gained his first international experience in 2016, when he retired from the first round of the European Youth Championships in Tbilisi with 49.75 seconds and retired from the Swiss sprint relay (1000 meters) with 2: 00.52 minutes in advance . The following year he reached the semi -finals in the individual competition of the U20 European Championships in Grosseto , in which he was eliminated with 47.41 s, while he was sixth in the 4 x 400 meter relay after 3: 11.67 min came in.
