The Riley 12 was a large V2 engine car that Riley brought out in 1907 along with the smaller 9 .

The car had a V2 engine with a displacement of 2,035 cm³, side-mounted valves and water cooling. The machine made 12 bhp (8.8 kW). The chassis was available with a wheelbase of 2,286 mm or 2,667 mm, the body was between 3,429 mm and 3,810 mm long and 1,676 mm wide. The chassis weighed 682 kg. Like all Riley vehicles, the 12 had detachable wire-spoke wheels.

In the following year, the further developed Riley 12/18 replaced this model. Its engine of the same size developed 18 bhp (13.3 kW). The car itself had grown too. The wheelbase of its chassis was 2,438 mm or 2,743 mm. Its superstructures were between 3,581 mm and 3,810 mm long and between 1,524 mm and 1,549 mm wide.

This model was offered until the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. There was no direct successor.
