Previous model Riley Pathfinder

The Riley 2.6 was a Riley passenger car .

description

The model replaced the Riley Pathfinder as the company's largest sedan model.

While its predecessor was still a Riley development, the 2.6 shared the body with the Wolseley 6/90 Mk. III and only had a different grille, logo and two-tone paint job. It had the six-cylinder in-line engine of the BMC-C series with a capacity of 2639 cm³ and 101 bhp (75 kW), which gave the car a top speed of 149 km / h.

That was less power than its predecessor with the "Big Four" engine. The Riley 2.6 was an economic mistake and was withdrawn from the market in May 1959. It was the brand's last six-cylinder model.
