The location was at an altitude of 198  m above sea level. NHN in the Brucher Bach area in the south of the Eckbusch residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district . Neighboring locations are Theisbruch , Hixter , Melandersbruch , Am Hagen , König , the Reithof Katernberg , Klotzbahn , Naurathssiepen and the center of Eckbusch . history

The location is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 without any labeling. In 1832 the place belonged to the Dorper Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the city of Elberfeld . The place, categorized as Kotten according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had a residential building at the time. At that time, 13 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The settlement area was until 1929 on the border triangle of the city of Elberfeld , the city of Vohwinkel (until 1888 the community of Sonnborn ) and the community of Oberdüssel of the mayor's office of Wülfrath . At the end of the 1960s, the last buildings on the residential area were demolished and partially built over with a tennis court.
