Rita Cadillac

Rita Cadillac , (* May 18, 1936 as Nicole Yasterbelsky in Paris , † April 4, 1995 in Deauville Département Calvados ), was a French (nude) dancer, singer and actress .

biography

She began her musical career at the age of 13 as an accordionist under the pseudonym "Rita Rella". One day she went to the Folies Bergère Varieté with some boxes of designs for theatrical costumes and happened to be hired as a dancer. “I just came to a day when new dancers and nude models were to be cast and I was put in a corner with the others and they said to me, 'Take off your clothes, put on three feathers, stand up on the catwalk, go. '"

In 1951, not yet 16, she performed freely in another vaudeville in downtown Paris, the Crazy Horse , and adopted the stage name Rita Cadillac (a conscious analogy of her breasts or “physical appearance” to the mighty chrome bumpers of the time Models of the American car brand Cadillac ?). In later years she was also photographed as a pin-up girl.

Due to her attractiveness and fame, she also became aware of French films and she played supporting roles in several films between 1954 and 1962. However, she never made a breakthrough as an actress. She later played in musicals and operettas . In Germany, however, she only became known in 1981 with her appearance as the club singer Monique in the successful film " Das Boot ".

Private life

She had a relationship with Alain Delon for almost three years , and she is said to have not only had a musical collaboration with the young Johnny Hallyday . After her life as an artist, she opened a practice for astrology and group therapy in Deauville . She died in 1995 before she could publish her planned memoir.
