Rivalto is a district ( fraction , Italian frazione ) of the Italian municipality Chianni in the province of Pisa in Tuscany .

geography

The place is about one kilometer north of the capital Chianni, about 30 km southeast of the provincial capital Pisa and about 60 km southwest of the regional capital Florence . The place is 343  m slm and had 96 inhabitants in 2001. In 2011 there were 103 inhabitants. The place is part of the Diocese of Volterra and thus belongs to the Archdiocese of Pisa as a suffragan diocese .

  • Santi Fabiano e Sebastiano , church in the town center. Contains the works of Santi Fabiano e Sebastiano and Madonna addolorata from the 17th century.
  • Santa Croce ( Oratorio della Compagnia della Santa Croce ), house of prayer in the town center. Contains the 17th century painting Maria addolorata e San Giovanni .
  • Santuario della Madonna del Carmine , 18th century sanctuary just outside Rivalto. Contains the work Madonna del Carmine by Carlo Dolci .
