Riverside is a borough in Northumberland County in Pennsylvania , United States . At the time of the 2000 United States Census , Riverside had 1,861 residents.

Riversides geographical coordinates be 40 ° 57 ' N , 76 ° 38' W . Riverside is located on the south bank in a long left bend of the Susquehanna River , which is almost entirely part of the borough's area, including Danville Airport and the settlement of Kipps Run not far from the mouth of the creek of the same name .
According to the United States Census Bureau , the borough has an area of 13.8 km 2 , of which 12.5 km 2 is land and 1.5 km 2 (8.85%) is water.
The Factory Street Bridge connects Riverside with Danville .
