The Rivière Nestaocano is a left tributary of the Rivière du Chef in the Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean administrative region of the Canadian province of Québec .
The Rivière Nestaocano has its source 20 km east of Lac Albanel . It flows south through the Canadian Shield to the west of the MRC Maria-Chapdelaine . After about 160 km, the river reaches the Rivière du Chef, a tributary of the Rivière Ashuapmushuan .
A canoe route leads over the lower 90 km of the river to the Rivière du Chef.
