Roadie is a musical comedy from 1980, in the lead role of which Meat Loaf plays a hillbilly who turns into an inventive roadie out of love for a (would-be) groupie . Many musicians from various genres have made guest appearances, including Alice Cooper , Blondie , Roy Orbison , Hank Williams Jr.

action

The comedy lives mainly from the musicians, but also offers well-tried gags (chase with a beer truck, mistaking cocaine and detergent) and the contrast between the young female rock fan ("don't you read T-shirts?") And the Redfish played by Meat Loaf.

The soundtrack was published as a double album by Warner Bros. Records in 1980 and produced in Germany by WEA Musik GmbH.

Criticism and reception

Lexicon of international film : "Poor film with a banal storyline, music numbers that are not very popular and hardly any gags worth mentioning."
