Robert Alford (* 1. November 1988 in Hammond , Louisiana ) is an American Football poker players on the position of the cornerbacks . He currently plays with the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League (NFL).

High school

Alford went to Hammond High Magnet School in his native Hammond. There he first played as a wide receiver . In the first year he was voted Rookie of the Year .

college

He attended Southeastern Louisiana University from 2008 to 2012 and was placed in the cornerback position from 2009 when he played nine out of ten games. In 2010 he was absent for the entire season due to an injury before playing in all eleven games in 2011.

NFL

In the 2013 NFL Draft , Alford was selected as the 60th pick in the second round by the Atlanta Falcons . In his first season he scored 60 tackles and three turnovers .

On October 2, 2016 in the game against the Carolina Panthers , he reached two interceptions in one game. He could carry one back to a touchdown . With the Atlanta Falcons he reached the Super Bowl LI after the 2016 season , which was lost at 28:34. Alford intercepted a pass from Tom Brady in that game and carried him back 82 yards into the end zone for a touchdown.
