Robert Breindl (* October 24, 1909 ; † August 27, 1995 ) also called "Pius" , was a German football player .

Breindl belonged to the age of 20 the squad of FC Bayern München on, for he held until 1933, class of 1930 Suedbayerisches District League as external rotor played and the Südbayerische championship this time with them in 1931 and 1932 won. After qualifying with the team in the final round of the South German Championship of the South / East group for the final of the South German Championship against Eintracht Frankfurt , the winner of the North / West group, he was defeated by the Hessians (aborted in the 83rd minute when the score was 0: 2 because of the crowd and rating for Eintracht Frankfurt). As second in the South German Championship, he was still qualified with Bayern as a participant in the finals for the championship 1931/32 . He played all four games including the final against Eintracht Frankfurt, won 2-0 in Nuremberg on June 12, 1932 . In the previous matches, in the 4-2 round of 16 win against Minerva 93 Berlin , in the 3-2 quarter-final win at Police SV Chemnitz , in the 2-0 semifinal win against 1. FC Nürnberg , he also played for 90 minutes.

In the 1933/34 season he was last active for Bayern in the newly introduced Gauliga Bayern , one of 16 Gauligen in Germany, before he moved to the Gauliga Lower Saxony at Eintracht Braunschweig for the 1934/35 season. With him came three other players from southern Germany, among them Ludwig Lachner . Because the club had found them jobs, all were only released after more or less long bans and a sports court judgment.

For Eintracht Braunschweig, Breindl played not only the point games in the Gauliga but also three games for the newly created Tschammer Cup, the first national cup competition in Germany and the predecessor of the DFB Cup . It was used both in the first final round , in the 6-3 win against Reichsbahn SV Berlin , and in the second final round , in the 7-0 win against 1. SV Jena ; in this game he scored two goals. In the third final round he lost with the team at the police SV Chemnitz with 2: 4 and was eliminated from the competition.

Selection team

He won the district selection competition for the Adolf Hitler Cup in 1933 with the district selection Bavaria . He was not used in the replay that had become necessary on August 6, 1933 in Munich, in the 6-1 victory over the Berlin-Brandenburg district selection , but in the final on July 23, 1933 , which found no winner with a 2-2 draw.
