Robert Ismajlovic

Robert Ismajlovic (born August 15, 1975 in Zadar ) is a Swiss model and actor of Yugoslav origin. He was Mister Switzerland from 2003 and the successor to Christoph Engel .

Life

Ismajlovic was born in the former Yugoslavia . At the age of 16 he came to Switzerland in November 1991 , where he has mainly lived since then. He completed an apprenticeship as a qualified nurse with a DN I degree. He also trained as a fitness trainer on the side . He is a fitness instructor at SAFS (swiss academy of fitness and sports). After his training, he worked as a nurse in an old people's home in Erlenbach ZH .

In May 2003 he was elected Mister Switzerland in the St. Jakobshalle in Basel . Shortly before, he had received the naturalization certificate and had become a Swiss citizen . After winning the title, Ismajlovic received numerous offers as a model and completed numerous photo shoots . In 2003 he was the official advertising medium for the Axcent trend watch line . In New York he modeled for the Swiss fashion designer Edo Popken.

In 2005, Ismajlovic came under fire because he criticized the newly elected Miss Zurich, Ellen Tkatch, for her allegedly too high body fat percentage . Ismajlovic later partially withdrew this statement.

In 2005 he took part in the television show Die Cleversten - The great three-country check presented by Thomas Gottschalk on ZDF . Together with the then Mister Germany , Ralph Schulz , and the Mister Austria , David Königshofer , he demonstrated his talent in flirting , but only ended up in 3rd place.

In recent years, Robert Ismajlovic has increasingly turned to acting . He also took acting lessons at a drama school in Zurich. In 2004 he played a supporting role as a steward in the Swiss low-budget production The Ring Thing . In the 2005/2006 season he played in Zurich at the Theater am Hechtplatz in the comedy Ladies Night by Stephen Sinclair and Anthony McCarten . In 2009, he played alongside Claudine Wilde attractive lovers and flight instructor Kevin in the ARD - television series veterinarian Dr. Mertens .

In 2009, Ismajlovic separated from his long-term partner and now lives in Berlin .

In 2009 he was an ambassador for an advertising campaign for the nursing assistants of the Swiss Red Cross , a campaign that had a credible effect due to his previous work as a nurse.
