Robert Lebel (Bishop)
Robert Lebel (born November 8, 1924 in Trois-Pistoles , † May 25, 2015 in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield ) was Bishop of Valleyfield in Canada.
Life
Robert Lebel was ordained a priest on June 18, 1950 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on March 11, 1974 auxiliary bishop in Saint-Jean-de-Québec and titular bishop of Alinda . The Bishop of Saint-Jean-de-Québec, Gérard-Marie Coderre , ordained him episcopal on May 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Paul Grégoire , Archbishop of Montréal , and Louis Lévesque , Archbishop of Rimouski .
He was named Bishop of Valleyfield on March 26, 1976 and inducted into office on May 2 of the same year.
On June 30, 2000, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
