Robert Maresch (born November 3, 1903 in Warnsdorf , Bohemia ; † September 11, 1989 in Böblingen ) was a German politician ( GB / BHE , GDP , SPD ).

Life

Maresch was born the son of a grain merchant. After completing primary school and attending community school, he completed an apprenticeship and then worked in his father's shop. In 1934 he co-founded the chemical-pharmaceutical factory Rudolf Breuer in Reichenau , which manufactured textile products for Zittwerke . He later worked as an advertising specialist. From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier .

Maresch was expelled from Czechoslovakia in 1945 , fled to West Germany as a displaced person and settled in Herrenberg . From there he came to Böblingen in 1946, where he helped found the “Aid Association for New Citizens”. From 1950 to 1952 he was an organizational officer and managing director of the Federation of Expellees for Württemberg-Baden , then for Baden-Württemberg . In the federal election in 1949 , he applied unsuccessfully as an independent candidate for a seat in parliament. He came to the BHE through his work as an employee in the associations of expellees and became a member of the party's state executive committee.

In the state elections in 1960 , Maresch was elected as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg through a second mandate from the constituency of Böblingen . After the GB / BHE lost votes in the 1961 Bundestag election and merged with the German Party (DP) to form the All-German Party (GDP), it formed a new parliamentary group in June 1961, to which all former BHE members belonged. Due to internal party disputes and the impending liquidation of the GDP, Maresch joined the SPD on November 6, 1963. On November 15, 1963, he moved to the SPD parliamentary group together with Josef Janota . In 1964 he left the state parliament.

Robert Maresch was married and had two children.
