Robert Stoffert

Robert Stoffert (* 7. August 1898 in Osterode am Harz , † 15. November 1965 in Hannover ) was a German entrepreneur and horticulture - inspector .

Life

Born in the Harz Mountains in the early days of the German Empire as the grandson of the businessman and artist Friedrich Stoffert , Robert Stoffert took over the management of the Liststadt plantation in Hanover during the Weimar Republic and after the German hyperinflation in 1924 , which he expanded into an internationally respected company .

In 1926, Stoffert's son Gerhard Stoffert was born.

So far, no particular knowledge has been available about Stoffert's work during the Nazi era from 1933 to 1945. During the time of the British occupation zone , in 1947 he co-founded the faculty for horticulture and national culture at the then Technical University of Hanover . In addition, Stoffert founded the horticulture business consultancy .

Robert Stoffert was honored with the award of the Federal Cross of Merit.

Robert-Stoffert-Strasse

Robert-Stoffert-Straße in the Hanover district of List , named in 2003, honors the co-founder of the Faculty for Horticulture and Regional Culture at the site of his formerly managed Liststadt plantation .
