Robert von Lehmann

Robert Franz Freiherr von Lehmann (* July 25, 1818 in Darmstadt ; † August 28, 1878 ibid) was a Hessian chief forester and politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Robert von Lehmann was the son of the government councilor Johann Matthias von Lehmann (1778-1853) and his wife Caroline Wilhelmine, née Malapart. Lehmann, who was a Protestant, married Mathilde Sophie Jeanette, born von Willich called von Pöllnitz (1832–1912), the daughter of member of the state parliament Karl von Willich called von Pöllnitz , on May 19, 1857 .

Von Lehmann studied forest science and was a candidate for forestry in Darmstadt, from 1847 district forester in Dudenhofen and later in Ober-Roden . In 1852 he became a district forester in the Dieburg forest district, where he became chief forester in 1853 .

From 1851 to 1856 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 14 / Babenhausen .
