Roberto Ronaldo Brown Perea (born July 15, 1977 in Panama City ) is a former Panamanian soccer player .
Career
society
Brown played for Alianza FC until 1997 . In 1997 he moved to Costa Rica for CS Cartaginés , for which he played for a year. In the 1998/99 season he played in Honduras for Real España .
Between 1999 and 2000 Brown was under contract with Club Deportivo FAS in El Salvador . In 2000 he returned to Panama, where he played a second time for Alianza FC, Sporting San Miguelito and San Francisco FC .
In January 2002 he moved to Moldova to work with Sheriff Tiraspol . With Sheriff he was Moldovan champion three times. For the 2004/05 season he moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Austria Salzburg . He made his Bundesliga debut in August 2004 when he came on as a substitute for Goran Tomić in the 80th minute on the seventh matchday of that season against FK Austria Wien . Brown scored his only goal in the top Austrian league in October 2004 in a 2-1 defeat against ASKÖ Pasching .
After six months in Austria, he moved to Uruguay in January 2005 for Club Atlético Peñarol . After a year and a half at Peñarol, he joined league rivals Tacuarembó FC in the summer of 2006 .
In February 2007 Brown moved to the USA for the MLS club Colorado Rapids . He made his MLS debut in April 2007 in a 2-1 win over DC United . In that game he also scored his first goal for the Colorado Rapids.
After a few months in the MLS, he moved to Montreal Impact in Canada . In July 2010, his contract with the Canadians was terminated. Brown then returned to his homeland for San Francisco FC, for whom he played until 2012. In 2013 he played again for San Francisco before retiring after the 2013 season.
National team
Brown played for the Panamanian national team for the first time in 2000 . With Panama he took part in the Gold Cup in 2005 and reached the final with his team, which they lost to the USA on penalties. Brown came on during the tournament as a substitute in the group stage against Trinidad and Tobago .
He played his last game for the national team in January 2011.
